Abdominal Pain in a Pregnant Woman

A 24 year old 8 week pregnant woman comes into a Family Practice Clinic
with abdominal pain. As part of your physical examination, would you do
a pelvic exam, and if so, are there any concerns that need to be kept in
mind while doing the exam. Or would you send her to an OB/GYN to do the
examination??
