Hello, my name is Danita. I am a junior in high school, and I am seriously considering a career in medicine, obstetrics especially. I was wondering if I have to be an obstetrician and a gynecologist when all I really care to be involved in is the obstetric part. I know the two are hand in hand, but your response would be greatly appreciated. I would also like to know the courses I should take in college. Also, the university that I plan to attend next fall doesn't offer pre-med as a major, but it does offer medicine as a major. Will I be able to skip pre-med? Please take this seriously because I am truly sincere in everything I have said.
