Hi technology watchers,Overall, windows 98 is a good idea but use caution when upgrading your laptop to it unless it was purchased new with windows 98 originally installed by the manufacturer.
Virtually every laptop make is having some problems with Windows 98 especially with the "improvements" that Microsoft made in the power manangement area. If your laptop is running now just fine on Windows 95 I'd recommend sticking with it until Microsoft comes out with its invetiable Windows 98 Service Pack 1 edition.
Otherwise, be sure to go to the website of your laptop manfacturer and look on it for their technical notes and patches regarding running on Windows 98 on their equipment.
