R & D --- New technologies for OB, Pregnancy, and Childbirth

I am currently working on a group project in my technology and society class. Our assignment is to find the latest technologies in our field of interest. (We are a nursing group.)I need to know what the newest technologies are, and what technologies are currently in the R & D process, and how they will impact the way medicine is currently practiced. Also, we would like to find out about new procedures as well.
If possible, please e-mail info. about R & D centers and equipment vendors who may be developing these new equipments. (Phone, mailing address, name of person to contact, etc.) Any info. to help us get started on our project would be greatly appreciated!
