abnormal tastFrom: Wendi (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun, 26 Dec 1999 15:39:56 -0600 (CST)
I had an ultrasound on 12-23 due to an abnormal tast test. The due date does not change but I was off by 7 days. The ultrasound put me at 16 weeks pregnant opposed to 17. Everything appeared normal, however I was recommended genetic counseling and I will have an amnio. This takes place on 12-29. It appears that I am put into a risk for having a down syndrome baby. I have had nothing but anxiety and sleepness nights. Can you explain the statistics and if there was anything that I could have done to put me in this category. Note: I just turned 33. I have 2 other healthy children ages, 3 & 1. The only genetic history is my husband's maternal grandmother's sister's daughter, had a down syndrome baby, but she was well over 35 at prenancy. Thank you for your time..
