Hi! I know you want an answer from a medical professional but just thought I'd add my two cents. My periods returned when my baby was 7 months old, but I didn't stop breastfeeding until she was 9 months old. My girlfriend's period did not return until about 3 months after she stopped breastfeeding. It took a long time for the milk to disappear completely. I think I was still able to express drops years later. Yes, you could be pregnant again. Chris S.
