Yes, the chances of being boy or girl are 50/50 as there are only two possibilities but there are other factors involved. Some families have a higher percentage of one sex than the other. Don't know if this means that some men produce more of one type of sperm than the other. Then there's the environmental factors in the female, timing of conception etc. that seem to influence which sperm wins out. Have you checked the books available on how to influence the sex of your baby at conception? It might be worth a try, as long as you didn't mind getting another boy. Chris S.
