It is felt that Clomid is treating the end result of another problem. With insulin resistance (the primary problem), it goes like a domino effect to increase androgens (male hormones) and that, in turn, throws off ovulation. Glucophage works against insulin resisitance. This cascade doesn't occur in everyone who doesn't ovulate but the statistics are impressive.
