As with all salts, don't overdue it. The problem with MSG is that some people reatain large amounts of water from excessive salt and MSG is rather potent.

Reading labels is good but don't get crazy about it. Just have it eliminated from the Chinese food (and BTW, they can't eliminate it from the soup - from what I've been told).
