Another questionFrom: Meghan (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 16 Dec 1999 21:35:41 -0600 (CST)
Thank you Dr Harvey for your reply to my previous post about cervical change and the pill. I feel so ignorant! I guess I don't know as much about my body and I thought and I had 2 children! I do, however, have another question. While on the pill, is the cervex soft? I guess what I'm trying to nail down is that my husband had ( like I said earlier) noticed that during intercourse, he noticed a change in the feel of the cervex and I was concerned that it had softened and perhaps I ovulated despite being on the pill. He said it felt the same way as when we were trying to get pregnant with our 2 children and sucessfully did. I am worried that if I did happen to ovulate, I don't want to harm the baby by continuing on taking the pills (ortho tri cyclen). Is there a good website somewhere I could learn about the changes the cervex so I don't have to keep bothering you? I have heard of looking for "s. h. o. w." in another post, but would like to further learn about it. I truly appreciate this wonderful site. Thanks for your time!!
