Hello, Dr. M, I'd like to know how often certain things have happened in your practice. 1. I had a stroke at the age of 22 due to mitral valve prolapse and birth control pills.....any cases in your practice? 2. My last pregnancy (7 weeks ago), I developed pregnancy induced hyperthyroid. Was told it wasn't pregnancy induced until recently when after 4 weeks of no meds my thyroid is normal. I was told this is not normal. What do you think? 3. How common is it for a patient to deliver her own baby without anyone knowing? I was very numb from the epidural. I pulled the blankets aside and low and behold, there was a baby there! My doctor has never had it happen to her in the 9 years I havebeen with her. Any instances with you? 4. Also, I just recently had a bunch of tests on my heart. Tests prove my heart to be enlarged and possibly due to the pregnancy ( I had a lot of tachycardia). Any cases with this residual problem? My DH says I should donate my body to medical science while still alive! :) I feel if something is rare I will get it. I am anxious to be whole again. Thanks for answering! Cindy (BTW, I am 33 years old)
