Hello,

Hope everyone in the states had a very enjoyable Thanksgiving! I need to go in and have my very first one hour glucose tolerance test. I was instructed that I did not need to fast for this test, but I want to be sure to go in prepared in the best possible way for a good outcome. Can anyone give me tips on what and when I should eat before going to the test? What sorts of things can affect the outcome in a positive or negative way? My sister failed her one hour test but passsed the follow up one, and diabetes does run in my family. I myself am also obese, and so I'm very concerned about passing this test. Thanks for any useful/helpful information or personal stories that anyone cares to share. :-)
