For everyone's knowledge, in medicine, physicians are looking for what is called "evidence based medicine" through randomized controlled tests. This means that if 2 groups of women did the evening primrose oil thing but one group had placebos without knowing it (or their doctors knowing it), would there be a difference in the 2 groups in timing of labor, length of labor, risks to babies, etc.

Anecdotal information (your story above) is very helpful for individual reponses. The evidence based medicine approach is the way of the future "prove it and we'll use it". I wish someone would prove or disprove the evening primrose oil deal. It sounds great.
