I posted a couple of days ago. Had u/s at 6 weeks and saw a heartbeat. U/S at 8 weeks showed no heartbeat. Dr. wants to wait until this week and do another before scheduling a D&C. I know that the placenta produces the hormones but if the baby had died, does the placenta still grow and produce hormones? I just thought that if the baby died, my body would reject it and I would miscarry but I don't have any bleeding at all. I am still experiencing severe morning sickness and my HCG levels are increasing rapidly. Am I just hanging on to false hope? The u/s is scheduled for Thurs. and I am a nervous wreck.
