miscarriage again?From: Michele (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 16 Nov 1999 14:37:34 -0600 (CST)
I had a miscarriage on Sept 17 (I was 8 weeks along). I had a normal period on Oct 21. We decided to try again and I was sure that I was pregnant. (backaches, headaches and some nausea) Last night I woke up with severe menstrual cramps (very similar to the contractions I had with my previous miscarriage) I then started to bleed like I would with a normal period but with lots of cramping and some clotting. I'm still cramping today. It was too early for me to take an hpt, therefore I'm not absolutely sure if I was pregnant. However, intuition and the symptoms made me think that I was. Could this be a second miscarriage? I know that the frequency of miscarriage happening before a pregnancy confirmation is high. Does this warrant a trip to my family doctor? (I just don't want to go through all the poking and proding again...) I'm also O negative and my husband is A positive...do I need that shot again even if I'm not sure if this is a miscarriage or not. Ahhh...I hate this.
