Hi Tracy, The term is uterine rupture. Did your friend have a previous c-section delivery? The risk of uterine rupture is very small but it does on occasion happen.
>From what I understand, signs of uterine rupture are not present until the Prevention would be delivery via c-section however this is major surgery and carries risks of it's own. To reassure yourself, talk to your health care provider at your next prenatal visit and voice your concerns. In the meantime, I hope one of the kind doctors here will address your questions.
