raising hands over headFrom: Vanessa (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 11 Nov 1999 10:44:19 -0600 (CST)
Hi. my name is vanessa. I'm 8 weeks pregnant. I haven't been to the doctor yet to get a slip for work entailing my limitations. Well, my manager knows that I am pregnant, but she is still asking me to do lifting and other functions which have set off inner alarms. Among which, I've been doing stuff that requires me to lift over my head. Yesterday, another girl at the store told me not to lift above my head becuase that could cause the abilical cord to wrap around it's head. I am wondering if that is true. I also wonder what I can do about this situation. And a few times I had to call off work due to my not being well, cause a few weeks ago I came down with strep throat. I was a little worried for the health of my baby. and my boss thinks my pregnancy is not an excuse for missing work. I just wish so much that she wouldn't be like this. If you were to see me, you'd know I'm a very tiny person. I'm 5'2" and at present time weigh just under 90 lbs. Needless to say, I've been very tired. I was just wondering if anyone had any thoughts on this matter.
