I've had 2 miscarriages and both were detected thru a sonogram. I miscarried at 8-1/2 and 9-1/2 wks. No fetal heartbeat was detected and, also, the sonographer could see hemorraging inside the placenta. Apparently, the hemorraging tells that the pregnancy is no longer viable, also.

I hope you aren't having a miscarriage. If you are I'm very sorry. I hope this information helps.
