Thank you both for your replies. I did some thinking and decided to call a neurologist on my own and make an appointment. The numbness has been getting much worse and I just can not believe that this is all in my head. I'm very worried about falling as my pregnancy progresses and I feel that I need to be fully tested for neurological disorders before my OB decides I am just crazy.

I have been uncomfortable with this OB for quite some time. I made an appointment with a new one for next week, so hopefully I will be happier with my care. It really helped to know that another doctor would indeed feel my condition merited a referral to a neurologist. I found it interesting that you said you would refer me to someone who specializes in high risk pregnancies, because my OB told me that I am not high risk and am not suffering any complications.

Thanks again, this has really helped me to feel better about myself and given me the confidence to actively direct my medical care.
