Hi Christine, I don't know the exact odds but I was 2 cm dilated and 40% effaced at 36 weeks with my second child yet I delivered the day before my due date (almost 40 weeks). I don't think that earily dilation means early delivery. I'm sure you will receive lots of replies from women with similar stories. Nancy
