Re: 36 weeks and starting to dilate and effaceFrom: Rachael (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 1 Nov 1999 17:41:59 -0600 (CST)
I think it's impossible to tell. I have a friend who at 36 weeks was 50% effaced and 2 cm dilated, and was induced at 41.5 weeks after her doctor told her no way she would make it to her due date. Sometimes it really takes a lot of "laboring" to get anywhere, especially if this is your first baby. Hang in there, it's getting exciting, huh?? Hey, at least you won't be expected to make Thanksgiving dinner! :o)
