Hope this helps and good luck! > >-- >Midge > no your blood type cannot change. you might also see if you could find out whether you got rhogam when you miscarried. if i remember correctly an rh neg woman carrying an rh pos fetus can develop antidoies to the babies blood. these can attack the baby. several factors affect this and it generally does not occur until after the first rh positive baby is born -- subsequent pregnancies are affected but not usually the first. this has something to do with how long it takes to develop the antibodies and amount of exposure to the baby's rh pos status. i cannot recall the specifics off the top of my head. i believe they can test for an antibody titer in your blood, which would be less risky than taking blood to test from the baby. in any case, altho there has been some controversy about rhogam because it IS a blood product it really is advisable to take rhogam when you are rh neg and the father is rh positive.
