In my practice, we might try a progestational agent (Prometrium is an example) to bring on a period. This will work only f the lining has been previously built up (thickened). If it is not built up, progesterone will not work. In that instance, estrogen ((examples are Premarin, Estrace, Estratab) would be used to build up the lining and the progesterone is given to empty the lining and, hopefully encourage subsequent cycles and ovulation.
