Confusing information!!!From: Kelly (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 25 Oct 1999 14:51:50 -0500 (CDT)
Hi, I am about 5.5 weeks pregnant. Had some bleeding and cramping on Friday. Dr. advised me to go to ER. They did an U/S and found a gestational sac but said there was no yolk sac or heartbeat. Technician and ER doctor said that I was probably going to miscarry. They also found 3 large cysts on my right ovary. So today I follow up with my regular OB/GYN. They said it was unprofessional for the ER staff to tell me i wasn't pregnant based on the U/S results. Told me that often times yolk sac/heartbeat can't be found until around 7 weeks. They did blood work to check HCG levels which will be back tomorrow. Who do I believe here? I am soooo confused. Am i still pregnant or not??? I never bled heavily - just some pink - it was the cramping that was worse. Thanks.
