early placental abruption

I have a one inch clot in my uterus that is causing the placenta to be unattached in some places. I am sure that this is dangerous for the baby. I am 9 weeks along right now. Is there anything I can do? Will the placenta re-attach? Do the unattached pieces separate and slough off? Will bed rest help? Very concerned. Thanks for your time.
