On day 7, I passed a golf ball size clot that had tissue in it. The bleeding then stopped abruptly only to re-start the next day. The bleeding is not as heavy as it was but is still very red. I also have gushes of bleeding. It doesn't matter if I am sitting, laying down or walking I will gush. I don't have to be changing positions to do this. > >Anyway, is this normal? I have an appt with my OB in 6 days but was wondering if I should be seen earlier? I know that if I pass another large clot then I need to be seen but is it necessary if I am just having bleeding with grape size clots again? > >Thansk for the help. > >Cindy Hi Cindy, I had the same problem you described after a d&c was done for a miscarriage and my dr. prescribed a medication called Methargine to slow down the bleeding and help contract the uterus back down. I saw results really quickly. I would definitely recommend giving your dr. a call and ask about this if you are still bleeding heavily.
