Our doctor advised my 25W 3D pregnant wife to undergo an aminocentisis test becuase the following reading was detected as high during the ultrasound : Vp/H = .310 Other readings on the ultrasound like BPD, FL, AC and other body organs like the heart, liver etc. are normal in the results. BDP = 63 mm FL = 46 mm AC = 192 mm OFD = 82 mm TCD = 28 mm CM = 8 mm HC = 228 mm BPD/OFD = .768 HC/AC = 1.188 HC/FL = 4.957 Va/H = .276 Does the high Vp/H ratio represent an increased probability of some congenital defect in the baby (downs syndrome etc.) or some other defect which can be treated at childbirth? Many thanks and Best regards
