late blood sugar readings? PLEASE help!..From: Cindy (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 7 Oct 1999 16:54:06 -0500 (CDT)
I had my blood sugar levels done at 28 weeks and it came out at 80! My DH is a diabetic and we check our kids often as well as myself. Anyway, the past day in a half I have not been feeling well. I have been very thirsty, nauseous but yet starving, lethargic and peeing a lot (this could be just from baby though). Anyway, I had lunch at noon and at 5:15 pm my Dh checked my sugar. It was 160! I am 36.2 weeks pregnant and I don't know if this could mean anything. I jsut saw my doctor yesterday and had a urinalysis and it was ok. Why would I see a high reading now? Should I do anything about this? I went ahead and ate dinner and we are going to check my levels in one hour. I know that any kind of treatment at this point is futile especially since I am scheduled to be induced next Wednesday. I just need to know what this could mean. THANK YOU!
