Clare:

I experienced the same thing you are. I had my first D & C on February 24, 1999. I did not start my period until June 3, 1999. I went through total turmoil wondering if there was something wrong with me. I even took two rounds of Provera to "jump start" my period. Neither times worked. I was about to go crazy waiting and wondering. But I did finally start. What you may be experiencing is anovulation. Ask you doctor to give you something to help you start ovulating. I know my body pretty well and know pretty much when I am ovulating. On May 16, I ovulated. It was a wonderful day, let me tell you. I knew I'd soon be starting my period, and I did. Anyway, just wanted you to know that although they say 4-6 weeks to start your period after a D & C, it could take longer. It did for me, and it did for others I've heard from. But hang in there. It is rough waiting, I know. I am so sorry for your loss, and I wish you a successful pregnancy very soon.
