Re: Can a missed miscarriage occur while on Prometrium? for michelleFrom: Michelle (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 4 Oct 1999 20:26:24 -0500 (CDT)
Julie, The midwife and dr. both said that the fetal tissue would not be tested for any abnormalities unless I have had repeated miscarriages (like 5 in a row). They said that it's almost always because of defects in the sperm or egg...this of course, did not make me feel any better. I often get the impression that doctors and midwives are somewhat callous when it comes to miscarriages, since it's just another variable in their line of work. My sincere hopes to you for a healthy future pregnancy.
