As the uterus grows, there can be vague stretchy, crampy feelings. As long as your cervix is not softening or dilating there is nothing to worry about. I felt these funny "like a period about to come" sensations from about 10 weeks and had true Braxton-Hicks contractions from 20 weeks -- I worked until the day before I delivered at 39 weeks.

As always, if you are concerned, see your doctor -- a quick pelvic exam can go a long way in reassuring you.
