Ya gotta do what ya gotta do. If possible, defer dental work til after the first trimester. Extensive dental work can cause bacteremia (bacteria in the blood stream) which may affect a pregnancy, but, in the final analysis, an infection must be treated.. so.... ya gotta do what ya gotta do.
