Slow progesterone reactionFrom: Melissa (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 28 Sep 1999 09:47:48 -0600
Is it possible to ovulate but take the progesterone a day or two before it elevates? On Saturday night, I had all the signs of ovulation: egg-white cervical fluid, pain on my left side, OPK said definitely. I thought I timed intercourse perfectly. I was just sure when I woke up Sunday that my temperature would be up because I had ovulated but it wasn't. It also did not go up yesterday. My temp finally went up this morning (Tuesday) but not much. I am just wondering if I may have ovulated but the progesterone did not kick in for about two days - does this happen? That is not usual for me. I normally ovulate on day 14 and today is day 23 and I am still not sure I have ovulated. I am wondering if I may be having an anovulatory cycle this month. Any insight would be appreciated. Thank you. Melissa
