I went in for a vaginal ultrasound at 5.5 weeks and they could see two empty sacs, that's it. They scheduled me for an ultrasound a week later and they were able to see two fetal poles and two heartbeats. They also decided I was only about 4.5 weeks pregnant. So, perhaps you are just a little less pregnant than you thought (just like I was)....especially since the hcg is increasing! Good luck :)
