Gestational diabetes is a very serious condition that can lead to severe problems for the both you and your baby. There is good news however. These problems are all directly attributable to elevated maternal blood sugar levels. This means that if you control your blood sugar, with diet and exercise, and the addition of insulin if needed, you can ENTIRELY avoid all of those problems. Good luck.
