InfertilityFrom: Rena (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 21 Sep 1999 07:55:09 -0500 (CDT)
I am 36 years of age with no children. I have been pregnant several times (five or six. The most viable lasted 22 weeks; it was lost due to an incompetent cervix. In the past I have never had a problem getting pregnant but now, I have been trying for 13 months - no pregnancy! I am currently taking Clomid. My doctor has suggested that I continue to take the Clomid, still yet, I am told that the Clomid is causing a fluid. This "fluid" does not allow the sperm to travel to meet the egg, so I was given an IUI. This, of course did not work because I am still not pregnant. If this is true, then why take the Clomid since to become pregnant you need the sperm to be able to "freely" swim to its destination? Help...
