7 Months and perspiring

we are 7 months down the pregnancy line...everything going pretty much according to plan etc. My partner has just started (last few days) having sudden bouts of hotness and perspiration (she isn't much of a perspirer normally).

Not that we are worried, but a) can anyone explain why this is happening and b) is there any trick to alleviate this etc.

We live in Rome (i.e. a pretty hot place), tho' it is cooling down a bit now after a very hot summer.
