cramps

Hello,

This is my first pregnancy. I am only 6.5 weeks into it. I have been experiencing some intense cramps that last about 10 minutes, followed by general abdominal soreness for several hours. I have not bled at all. These cramps occur every other day, sometimes daily. A few weeks ago I was having left sided pain so a sonogram was done and ruled out an ectopic pg. A gestational sac was seen, but no embryo or yolk sac. I was told that it was probably too early to see an embryo (we hope). Anyway, my questions are:

1) Is it normal for some women to experience intense cramps with such frequency during a normal pregnancy? They hurt enough that I have to lay down and wait it out.

2) I have endometriosis and have a history of pain associated with it. Sometimes these pains that I am experiencing feel just like my endo and other times it feels like mentstral cramps. Is it possible, despite everything I've read and what everyone has told me, that I will not experience pain relief from endo during pregnancy?

3) Is it possible that my estrogen levels are abnormally high or something? Should they be measured?

Thanks for your advice. Sorry this is so long. I posted a messge last week regarding this and it never made it to the board. Sorry if it repeats.

Holly
