35 wks, severe gallbladder pain, need pain reliefFrom: Tiffany (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun, 19 Sep 1999 02:29:18 -0500 (CDT)
I am 35 weeks 2 days today and for the past 12 days I have had severe gallbladder pain most likely due to a diseased, swollen gallbladder but possibly due to a stone being lodged in the biliary duct. It is nearly constant and I am near the end of my rope with the pain. My doctor wants to schedule surgery right away but I refuse to put the baby through general anesthesia. I need to know if there is anything, anything to help diminish the pain besides painkillers, for example, an anti-imflammatory medication. I am already on an extremely lowfat diet, full bedrest and Vicodin for pain. I just want to make it to 37 weeks. Any suggestions would be welcomed. I am desperate. Thank you in advance.
