Laureen,

I can relate to your problem. I delivered a 8lb, 7oz. girl back in April. I had a fourth degree tear and 3 days after delivery, developed a rectovaginal fistula. Two weeks after delivery I had a repair. The repair seemed to work until six weeks later I developed another fistula. I had several tests to see if there might be something else wrong. One doctor's theory was that I might have Chron's Disease, but all my tests came back normal. Next week I am having what is called a Flap Closure surgery. I'm not sure what type of surgeries you have had, but this particular surgery has an 80% success rate, and is supposedly less involved. I'm very hopeful that this will finally fix my problem. Please let me know if you have made any progress since your last message.

Sincerely,

Keri
