hcg levels and bleedingFrom: Michele (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri, 17 Sep 1999 19:00:22 -0500 (CDT)
On monday of this week (my 7th week) I went for a second blood test. I found out that my HCG levels were 5025. I'd like to know if this is normal. My first levels (taken at the start of my 5th week) were 144. Since Wednesday I've been experiencing some very light bleeding and very mild cramping (much less than a normal period) This especially happens when I go to the washroom. My physician told me today to rest more, not to take coffee, tea or stimulants(I haven't been taking any) and not to have sexual relations. He said it could be normal or signs of spontaneous abortion. I'm scared...is there anything else I can do?
