Advise when taking Clomid

Can anyone please advise me - I have started taking clomid 100mg from day 2 to day 6, and I am currently on day 3 of taking it (started period on Mon 13th Sep then started clomid on the 14th), I had been trying 50mg but it had no effect so heres hoping about this, but can anyone please tell me when you think will be my most fertile period, does this higher dose mean I could ovulate earlier than on a smaller dose. Also what is the best way of telling if I am ovulating at a certain point, I've started taking my BBT which for the past few days has been the same 36.6, now am I looking for an increase in temp just before ovualtion or just after it, I have also tried the ovulation pred test but anytime I used it 2 lines appear strongly the whole 3 days - If I do use these again when is the best time to start with the first. Any comments atall will be really welcome!! Thankyou Michelle.
