The real truth: First, mother nature knows best. Second, if the uterus is ready for labor, anything can induce it. A ride on a bumping road, intercourse, castor oil, etc. Third, if the uterus is not ready, nothing will induce it. This is why many C/S follow early inductions. It may cause contractions but does not really induce labor. Fourth, castor oil is NASTY! I have personally cared for women that have taken it. They got contractions, the shits, pukes, etc and labor was the worst experience of their lives. Is this what your sister wants? Please excuse the graphic response, but these people are miserable. This is not the way I would want to labor. Kathy
