I'm 39 yrs. old and have been trying to conceive for only about 4 months. I have been very regular (27 or 28 days) since I began menstruating, so when I was 3 days late, I was anticipating a pregnancy. Needless to say when my period finally began, we were greatly disappointed. I've been thinking a lot about it and am wondering if it's possible that a late period, even by just a day or so, can mean an egg was fertilized, but didn't take somehow. Thank you.
