Hormone roller coasterFrom: Tracy (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 14 Sep 1999 10:49:50 -0500 (CDT)
Hello, I have one daughter, 2yrs old, and have had 2 miscarriages since then. Clomid was used for all three conceptions. No cause was given for the two miscarriages, although my husband and I suspect low progesterone levels due to the complete absence of pregnancy symptoms which were so abundant in the first pregnancy. Right now, I am again taking Clomid. The first three cycles were uneventful; my basal temps became smooth after the frst cycle, with a large temp jump with ovulation and a nice plateau before and after ovulation. However, this cycle, I have not ovulated- my temps have remained in a constant middle range for 25 days and a 5-day ovulation test starting at day 13 remained negative. The problem is that I'm incredibly nauseous and have been the entire cycle. A pregnancy test was negative. I don't understand why I would be nauseous yet still not ovulate. I also don't understand why I would stop ovulating. My doctor doesn't seem concerned about this or about the previous two miscarriages. Is this behavior normal? Would you suggest I see a reproductive endocrinologist? Thank you for your time.
