Re: Question about due dateFrom: anonymous@obgyn.netMon, 13 Sep 1999 17:10:11 EDT
Hi, I recently moved to Maryland and changed doctors. According to my old OB my due date is Oct. 15th. based on a 16 week sonogram. The problem is that at 8 weeks I had some cramping and went to labor and delivery, where a sonogram was done. This sono set my date at Oct 27. The 27 also corresponds with my last period (Jan 20). My old OB disregarded the early sono because it was done by a resident. The measurements and quality of the sono were poor. I have had several other sono's all confirming the 15th as the day. Plus, I am measuring at 35-36 weeks. I did fail the 1 hr. glucose test, but passed the 3 hr test. My urine is consistently high for sugar. The new dr. is debating the date of the 15. She even spoke to my old dr.who told her to disregard the 8 week sono, but still challenges the date. I have to go back tomorrow after she consults with her supervisors. She said that I could still be diabetic even though the tests don't confirm it and that is why the baby is measuring so big. HELP!!!! Shannon
