bonnie,

you certainly have the option of finding another doctor. there are also a couple of vbac support groups. i believe one of them is called ICAN. they have lots of good information as well as resources for doctors!

unfortunately there a a few doctors who feel no need to make explanatins to their patients. dont let this dissuade you rom learning all you can and finding a doc who will explain things to you. perhaps one of the doctors here can offer an explanation for the change of opinion in your doctor. >

every labor is different, particularly when you speak of an induced labor at a time when you were not ready to deliver. altho this doesnt mean the induction wasnt necessary. >

you should do what is necessary for you to be comfortable with the decisions you make about this pregnancy and delivery. if that means another opinion then get another opinion. and there's lots of reserch available on the net about vbacs as well.

i had a c-sec myself 7 years agaon and understand your feelings about vbac. like celeste i am strongly in favor of vbacs and have yet to see any research supporting an automatic c-sec for a low-transverse incision. keep educating yourself and getting your questions answerred!!!

good luck, vicki

good luck,
