I'd just like to reinforce Dr. Marchbein's assurance here. The cord itself is not a problem, it's just a marker that is *sometimes* associated with other problems, usually structural defects that can be pretty accurately assessed with ultrasound. One of my twins had a two-vessel cord. They did a detailed ultrasound (it was very cool to see all the chambers of her heart going) and said everything was fine. She and her sister were full-term, big, healthy babies. It's hard not to worry, I know, but the odds are very much on your side for a healthy baby.
