I have read about this but never personally seen this. It is quite uncommon. Folow-up HCGs are mandatory and must be followed to zero. the possibility of progression of gestational trophoblastic disease is present. If the HCG levels do not decrease appropriately, metastatic workup should be done and possible Methotrexate therapy. you may also wish to post this to the Medical Professional's Forum for more opinions.
