Hi Back! Yes, you can breastfeed while pregnant check out the local la leche league for more info.

But be prepared that if you are breastfeeding exclusively you might not get your period for awhile. I breastfeed both my girls exclusively for quite some time; first one for almost 6 months and second one until almost 7 or 8 months (until we introduced food due to severe allergies in our family - this was with the doc's ok & both were at the % in their growth charts).

Due to this I didn't see a return of AF (period) until my first baby was 10 months old (she weaned herself at 12 months because I had conceived 2 wks prior & she didn't like the taste change!) and I didn't see AF with my second until she was 14 months old! So don't be disappointed if you don't return to normal cycle within a few months. Some people DO get AF even while breastfeeding exclusively, some don't. But you CAN breastfeed while pregnant as long as you take care of yourself - eat properly, sleep etc!

Good luck!
